Elaine Paige has admitted that she worries about Susan Boyle and other reality TV stars, saying that their fast track to fame is quite an intense one.

Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle named Elaine as her icon last year and the pair performed together on an ITV show in December 2009. When asked about the 49-year-old on BBC Breakfast this morning, the musical theatre star said:

“With reality television things are very different.

“What I worry about for them is that it’s a fast track having to learn everything so quickly. They have to learn it in 16 weeks with all that pressure on them.”

Elaine has previously spoken about Susan Boyle’s fame, comparing it to a virus. She referred to the Scottish star as:

“a virus really that spread across the world in a nanosecond.”

We gather she’s not a fan then?
