BACKGROUND:
Gareth has been performing for the last 10 years. He has worked at caravan parks around the country and has worked abroad on numerous occasions. He has worked in Sharm El Sheikh, Cyprus, Turkey and holiday villages abroad. He feels that he has got to a stage in his career where he needs to progress to the next level and hopes the show will be the gateway to do this.
Gareth comes from a large family and has 5 sisters. His mum is a foster carer and dad is a plasterer.

hello i was gutted that gareth did not get to go into the final i would just like to say to you very well done enjoyed every min of your show and if your ever get to do it again i hope its in the north east some were becouse i would love to come and watch you again
I thought that Gareth Oliver was absolutely fantastic, and it was a travesty of justice that he didn’t go through! I fully support him, and would genuinely like to know if he’s going to appear anywhere else at any point, because I would love to go and see his act. (And see him too – he’s gorgeous!)
I think that Gareth was fantastic on Britains Got Talent. I saw him supporting Brian Conley on his tour in Sheffield, Gareth said that he was from Sheffield yet on Bgt it said he was from Halifax. I was lucky enough to meet him after the show to chat to him and have a photo taken with him he is friendly and gorgeous. He can come back to Sheffield anytime and i would gladly go and see him.
I love him….he’s really talented and so hot
