David Watson, 51 from Hull, who used to work in a pudding factory, shows up to sing for the Judges on tomorrow night’s Britain’s Got Talent. David feels he’s “wasted the last seven years of my life in the pudding factory when I should have been on the singing circuit”, so he’s hoping not to get buzzed off today so he can pursue his dream.

Declaring to the Judges he is going to sing Simon’s favourite song, David proceeds with his rendition of The Lion Sleeps Tonight, leaving Simon with a look of absolute shock and disdain and it’s not long before all three buzzers are lit. With Simon describing David’s singing as “so awful it is beyond description” and Piers adding that he could be “the worst singer in Britain” it looks like David might be asking for his job back.
