BACKGROUND:

Jackie has been dancing with Tippy Toes for 2 years. Jackie has always loved dogs and 4 years ago she saw the famous Mary Ray dancing at Crufts and it was so beautiful it made her cry. Then whilst working at Battersea Dog Home Jackie witnessed the birth of Tippy Toes and she knew she had found her dancing partner. Tippy, or ‘Tips’ for short, is a Staffordshire Bull terrier – a breed with a pretty bad reputation. Part of the reason Jackie chose her was so that she could prove that really they are very loving and eager to learn.

Having taken a course with Mary Ray herself, Jackie and Tips are out in the park every morning and night practising. Jackie’s dream is for Tippy to be an ambassador for Staffies and rescue dogs everywhere. She wants people to realise what you can gain from dancing with your dog.
