Britain’s Got Talent contestant Julian Smith, has admitted that he is hoping the show will reunite him with his long lost father.

The 39 year old who wowed judges with his saxophone playing in the early audition stages of the show, has revealed that he has no idea who his real father is.

Julian was adopted by his stepdad David at just three and it was he who passed on is love of music. However Julian doesn’t even know what his real dad looks like and is praying that someone will recognise him on the ITV talent show.

A friend told The Sun: “He knows nothing about his real dad. He doesn’t know his name and he’s never even seen a photo.

“He would love to know if his dad is even alive and whether he has any half brothers and sisters.

“His secret hope is that someone will recognise him on TV and put him in touch with his dad.”

I think it should be free to get information about people. I have been searching for my dad for years on the internet but I still haven’t found him.
And I have his name and I’ve seen pictures!

You are great Julian, I have the CD of Kenny G but I would like to have your CD as well. The saxophone and clarinet are my favourite instruments, they can weep and they can yearn.
I do hope that you will find your dad, every kid should have the right to know their ancestors.
Good luck in your searching and in your music career.

I too wish Julian lots of luck for tonight.

Re. searching for adoption records, after 18 you are allowed to have your adoption info now. It does involve a meeting but I’m not sure of the cost, if any.

    Good Luck

Your family will be so proud of your unbelievable achievments and success, I truly wish you all the luck in the world, you definately deserve to win Britains got Talent.

you have unmistakingly the most amazing talent I have ever seen or heard, I dont mind admitting as a father of two myself that, you reduced me to tears with your rendition from west side story..

Your life is about to change for the better and wish you well, on your way…

Julian should have won the finals. He was the best talent.

  8. Anthony Gonsalves says:

Julian, you were amazing tonight. For me, you were the winner. When you are in a group, one can easily hide behind somebody, but, one man to stand there and perform to the world – takes a lot my friend. Unbelievable talent. Hope to see your CD out soon. All the very best for the future. This is only the beginning.

  9. Steve Thorley says:

Julian, I am a massive Kenny G fan and saw your first appearance on Britains Got Talent by accident. Since watching that performance, which, because of my love of the tenor sax and your outstanding talent, I made a point of following your progress to the final. I would like to congratulate you on your well deserved success. Though you may not have won the final I believe you have made a fantastic impression on everyone who has been watching. To produce such a wonderful performance in an atmosphere of such intensity, on stage alone with no where to hide, is a great credit to you. I will look forward to your CD and wish you all the best for what surely must be a successful career.

Julian, I wonder if you read these blogs. I am sure they must give you encouragement. You must have a huge repetoire at those magic finger tips so why, oh why play your audition piece again? I am sure you could have upped your game if you were not so self efacing. Look how well you did with Kenny G. I think you could give him a run for his money! His face was a study. There is another album sale here and I can’t wait. So many soprano sax players make them sound so shrill but your tone is the best. Also looking for ‘Chilled 2 the Sax’. You had all my votes and I wish every success for you.
