ITV2 comedienne Katy Brand has hit out at Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, for making patronising comments about Susan Boyle.

Speaking earlier this month, the Holden claimed: “She needs to stay exactly as she is because that’s the reason we love her. She just looks like anybody who could live on your street. The minute we turn her into a glamourpuss is when it’s spoiled.”

However, on last night’s episode of Have I Got News For You, comedienne Brand hit out at Holden saying:

“I think Amanda Holden should stop patronising other women and let her do whatever she wants to do,” Brand explained.

Commenting on Boyle’s audition, the Big Ass Show star said: “When she walked out onstage, all of the judges treated her like there was no way she could have any talent and they all laughed at her because of the way she looked.

“Then she started singing and they all did that prime-time jaw-dropping thing that they like to do.”
