Joshua McKenzie has insisted that he is not getting special treatment behidn the scenes of Britain’s Got Talent, because of his famous sibling.

The talented drummer, better known as MckNasty is the older brother of ‘Beneath Your Beautiful’ star Labrinth and last night was seen auditioning for the ITV show.

His DJ and drum routine had Alesha Dixon on her feet dancing along and after the performance he got four yeses and a pass to the next round. Simon Cowell told him:

“I think you’re brother’s going to be really proud of you, I really do. You have
four big fat yeses. Congratulations.”

It was not mentioned at any point that Lab is Simon’s only artist on his SYCO label that didn’t come from a talent show background and that the star has a close working relationship with the talented songwriter.

Josh has insisted thought that even though his brother is very much in there with the music mogul and even performed with Emeli Sandé on The X Factor last year, his appearance on the show wasn’t fixed.

He told The Mirror:

“I wasn’t worried people would think it was a fix. I’ve only ever seen Simon on TV. I’ve never met him. My brother also didn’t know I’d entered.”

Last night MckNasty received backing from his bro and Labrinth tweeted him saying:

I was at the live auditions and what they showed on the telly was only a snippet of his performance. We wasn’t told who his brother was before the performance and he had the whole palladium on there feet dancing, it was amazing. So this whole thing about his brother giving him inside help etc is rubbish, he would of still been put through.

correction – we was told who he was at the beginning of his performance but didn’t make a difference when he started playing.
