One Direction, David Walliams, Coldplay, Thandie Newton, Rebecca Ferguson and Arlene Phillips take part in #Twitrelief 2012
The stars are lining up to support Sport Relief this year and it has been announced that celebrities including One Direction, David Walliams, Coldplay and Arlene Phillips will be offering personal items of their own, to be auctioned online for the charity.
As if David hadn’t done enough for the charity, with his Thames swim, his BBC documentary and agreeing to present some of the Sport Relief show next week, the Little Britain star and Britain’s Got Talent judge will be offering some of the swimming items he wore during his charity swim to the highest bidder.
British rockers Coldplay will offering a signed edition of their Mylo Xyloto album, while Arlene Phillips tweeted this morning saying:
#TwitRelief 2012 launches today, and my 2 prizes this year are for 8 tickets to top West End shows! All the info coming up.
Thandie Newton is auctioning a signed vest top, Rebecca Ferguson will be selling off a signed programme, while One Direction’s prize has yet to be announced but let’s be honest, even if it’s an old sock it will raise a fortune!
Gabby Logan is offering a lunch with herself and acclaimed sports journalist Clare Balding.
You can place your bid on the items on eBay here and keep an eye for all the new items which will be added during the week.
The annual Sport Relief show will air next Friday, 23rd March at 7PM. The Friday night extravaganza is presented by TV favourites Gary Lineker, Davina McCall, Dermot O’Leary, Claudia Winkleman, Fearne Cotton and Patrick Kielty, and features a host of special sketches from the nation’s best loved comedians and sporting personalities, promising to entertain from start to finish.
