Paul Potts shouldn’t have any problems performing for the Queen – he’s already won the admiration of the King Of Reality TV. Yep, it’s a double celebration tonight. One for Paul (our Pavvi!), and the other for Simon Cowell and the triumph of Britain’s Got Talent.

I would have said Paul’s victory tonight was a dead cert, but in the fickle world of public voting, certainty doesn’t exist. The cutesy appeal of the younger acts may have cost him votes, or the off-the-wall comedy of monkey-toting Damon or the cocktail shaking Bar Wizards. The Kombat Breakers could have taken the urban/youth vote.

Nope, Paul Potts won Britain’s Got Talent tonight on the strength of his talent. After his final performance, I found myself in front of the TV applauding for him. I was the only person in the room, which was the sad thing!

It’s a bizarre occurrence, but this is the first time a member of our forum has made the transition from being a member of this site to being a winner of a reality TV show. Needless to say, we’re all immensely proud of Paul “Pavvi” Potts. Now we know why he chose that nickname for the forum!
