Britain’s Got Talent winner Paul Potts has scooped a highly coveted German Echo Award.

The Echo Awards are comparable to the Brit Awards, with the main difference being that nominations and awards are based purely on record sales and chart position and are not dependant on jury voting. Paul was nominated for two awards, Best Male international Artist Rock/Pop – other nominees in this category were Kid Rock, Lenny Kravitz, David Garrett, Jack Johnson and Album of Year National/International – other nominees in this category were Udo Lindenberg, Amy Winehouse, AC/DC, Ich Ich. Paul won the second title, you can see him performing after accepting his award here.

We have had many emails from Paul’s fans asking what he has been doing and where he has been since winning the show and the truth is he has become somewhat of a worldwide phenomenon. Paul has sold out concerts in every corner of the world and sold millions of albums since he rose to fame on the ITV talent show.
