Piers Morgan has joked that his Britain’s Got Talent co-star Amanda Holden will make a perfect ogre.

Holden recently revealed that she will be playing Princess Fiona, in the West End Shrek musical. She announced the news on Twiiter saying:

“It’s true about me being Princess Fiona in Shrek! I’m so excited but best of all [my daughter] Lexi is telling everyone mama will be a Green Princess!”

Morgan told the Daily Mail: “To say she’s excited is a bit like saying Neil Armstrong must have felt a sliver of pleasure when he first set foot on the Moon.

“She’ll be perfect for the role, obviously.

“Well, from the bit where Fiona turns into an ogre anyway.”

He added: “Meanwhile, bookies are apparently taking bets on whether me and Simon Cowell will now follow suit and land other coveted parts in the show alongside her.

“Him as Shrek, me as the donkey.”
