Piers Morgan Calls Media Hypocritical

Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan has hit out at the ‘hypocritical’ media who have criticised the show’s handling of Susan Boyle.
In an interview with the Mail On Sunday, Piers said that most of the “media furore” about Boyle’s admission to the Priory was “laughably hypocritical”.
Morgan said: “For the last seven days, there has been a veritable torrent of criticism of Britain’s Got Talent, and the show’s supposed ‘cruel manipulation’ of this allegedly poor, defenceless, vulnerable woman.
“When people say she should never have entered the show, and was ‘exploited’, I say that’s nonsense.”
He added: “Susan had a blast for 90% of the time, and remains a feisty, funny, independent-minded lady with an incredible talent.
“She’s not some sort of cruelly exploited simpleton, as a few ill-informed critics seem to think.”

Susan may have learning difficulties but she is still capable
of deciding if she wants to do the show and whether she can
cope with fame, media etc. Yes she is vulnerable and needs
support but you cannot expect BGT producers to look after her
24/7 and she would not want it she lives independantly at
home. Susan has a good voice but if she is as vulnerable as
the media are now suggesting is the music industry really the
best place for her. Her family should be the people who know
her the best and her brother is pushing for her to tour
America etc so they do not seem to think she cannot cope and
they should be the ones supporting her. The media are
hypocrites as they were the ones that went completely OTT and
now are blaming BGT producers, in fact if anybody is too blame
for her breakdown it is the media and Piers who kept on and on
that she was going to win it.
