Yep that was taking the p * * s. Donald can’t sing and never will sing. Techincally his vocal chords aren’t developed enough to sing and considering he is already in his late teens I doubt whether they ever will.

Donald is an example of that growing breed of contestant who are just trying their luck because they appear to have nothing else in their lives. Woo so they make a desperate attempt at something outragious thinking fame fortune money here I come.

Piers knows this and was merely allowing the poor misguided youth to have his 30 seconds of fame. For all we know that 30 seconds of television time could well be something he recalls to aunts and uncles when reminising over the past.

Unfortunately what is the big shame about this is that Donald is one of thousands who get through to talent shows with no talent, who take the place of Genuinely talented and gifted people.

The irony here is that the audience in clapping and singing with the young Donald have been misunderstood, they are being believe it or not a considerate audience as this kind of behaviour helps calm the nerves of wanabe auditionees. The misunderstanding is that they didn’t really enjoy it. If Donald had been left up to long this audience would have turned so Piers sensed this.

Unfortunately I know I like Piers – but I think he should have been honest and told him not to try singing.
