Piers Morgan Says Susan Boyle Would Have Won If She Had Auditioned Later

Piers Morgan has claimed that people didn’t vote for Susan Boyle in the Britain’s Got Talent final, because of the huge amount of publicity and hype she received all over the world.

Writing on his blog, Morgan said: “I’m only sorry that the extraordinary tidal wave of publicity she attracted meant so many people got either bored or irritated by Boyle mania and decided not to vote for her as a result.

“I genuinely believe that if she had been on one of the later audition shows, rather than the first one, she would have won easily.”

He added: “The British, and I’m as guilty as everyone else, like nothing better than building people up, and knocking ‘em down again.

“But the good news for Susan is that we also have a tendency to feel sorry (and slightly guilty) for people after the ‘backlash’, and they usually end up even more popular than they were before.”

This is the first I’ve seen of this show. I heard of Susan Boyle from the publicity she began receiving and finally watched her audition video on YouTube. Well, I have watched it a dozen times since, along with the video of her final performance. All I can say is the reactions to her at the first performance were nearly as heartwarming as the performance itself. An amazing talent and a truly lovely woman presenting her true self and casting her fate into your capable hands. Her recent difficulties notwithstanding I sincerely hope Susan has the career she dreamed of and that in the meantime you take very good care of her.

Does Mr. Morgan not have brains enough to realise that Diversity won because they were absolutely the best on the night.

This is not a teenager talking but a Pensioner!

Susan Boyle is terrific but why not stop talking about it and let her get better.
