Piers Morgan talks Britain’s Got Talent 2010!

It’s nearly that time again and Piers Morgan has been talking about the upcoming series of Britain’s Got Talent which starts next Saturday night.

In an interview with Nutts magazine (available this week) Piers revealed that we can expect some very strange acts and what he would do if he auditioned for the show. Check out an excerpt of the interview below.

Hi Piers! What’s the weirdest act you’ve ever seen on Britain’s Got Talent?

It’s on the new series! I don’t want to give the game away, but we have some very strange acts appearing! They wind Simon up but I love them!

If you were going on BGT, what would your act be?

Throwing my pen up in the air! It’s a habit of mine. If I’d drunk a lot of Jack Daniel’s, I could also sing a song.

Does it worry you that your job is to judge people?

No, I spent ten years judging people as a newspaper editor. I had to guess what the public would – and wouldn’t – like, every day. When Louis Walsh had a go the other day, I was like, “Bloody hell, you produced Westlife and Boyzone,” so the idea of him taking the moral high ground – dear oh dear!

Has Britain really got talent or just a load of nutters?

Actually, I think Britain has got lots of talent. There’s so much variety out there and when the new series starts, you’ll see this is the best one yet.

If you were Cheryl Cole what would you do to Ashley?

As an Arsenal fan, we know what a treacherous little git he is, but I’ve been advising her to leave him for years!

What’s the future of reality TV? Is it eventually going to peter out?

I actually think Britain’s Got Talent can run for another ten years as there’s so much variety in Britain.
