Piers Morgans Says Susan Boyle DID NOT Have A Breakdown!

Britain’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan, has dismissed speculation that Susan Boyle has suffered a nervous breakdown.

Morgan says that tabloid reports today have been “pretty exaggerated” and that her admission to the Priory clinic was “entirely voluntary”.

“She has gone in there to get some rest and get away from everyone, get away from the show, the media, the public and have some downtime. It was entirely voluntary,” Contactmusic quotes him as saying.

Morgan also defended Simon Cowell, saying that he is very concerned about Boyle’s well-being.

“The idea that Simon is totally oblivious to the whole thing and just wants to make money out of her couldn’t be further from the truth,” he said.

“Simon, like everyone, is very concerned about Susan. No-one could have predicted this.”

I believe Piers could be right here. I put everything down to stress and pressure and the fact that Susan has acheived a remarkable thing getting this far in the competition. It is unfortunate that Susan’s behaviour issues have been reported upon for the savage amusement of the gutter press. Could it not be a well argued case of discrimination here that Susan’s learning issues should not have been reported about in such a derogatory light after all we live in the age of equal opportunities and this kind of press does have an affect upon the playing field.

ok guys this one is for you, the media.all I can say is “for shame”you wouldn’t have heaped this kind of abuse on an aminal. This wonderfully talented lady has been epitamized and humilated. The things said about her were brutal and cruel. Is this how you get readers ? Susan has gone for some well deserved R and R..whose business is it anyway. Susan will rise from the ashes better than ever! What will you say about her then. If I had been harrassed the way she was, I would have done more than just swear at the offenders.. I am a 75 year old grannie who has been through a lot, however I too could not have taken the abuse that was heaped on susan boyle. I hope you all learned something from this disaster. sincerely winnie

    Hello Winnie,

I think you have got hold of the wrong end of the stick. It is the tabloid press that has reported all these incidences not the forum. Even on the bloggs here everything is well edited before such pages are judged suitable for our members to read.

Pleased to read that you are a Susan Boyle fan. Come over to the forum Winnie let us some steam.

Piers is right, he’s got to be. The media just makes everything worse. Alot of people built Susan up and then made really bad comments about her. That’s enough to get anyone down for a start. She’s just not used to all what’s happening to her, she used to live with just her cat in a quiet village. It’s a big change! I saw susan last night on tour, and back stage ;D she looked very happy and i was happy for her.
