It’s been claimed that Simon Cowell is planning to make an example of Sharon Osbourne and sack her from America’s Got Talent.

The former X Factor judge spoke out against her boss earlier this week, when excerpts of a new biography about his life were published in the tabloid newspapers.

The book claimed that the music mogul uses women as playthings and toys on his TV shows and revealed that he once had an affair with Dannii Minogue when she started on his ITV show and later pursued Cheryl Cole, though she never returned his advances.

Sharon made a joke out of Simon when she was asked about the reports and admitted that she had known all about his affair with Minogue, adding that the world famous star had ‘Small Penis Syndrome’.

Insiders say Cowell is furious with the mum of three for mocking him on her chat show and in a number of interviews and doesn’t appreciate her speaking out about his private life.

A source told The Daily Record:

“Simon thought he could rely on Sharon to keep her mouth shut but he was wrong. She has come out with all kinds of accusations and the new series of American’s Got Talent will be her last. He cannot understand why she has attacked him.

“Simon cannot have people working on his show who he does not trust.”

Sharon hit back via Twitter, writing:

“I’m old enough to own what I say and I can’t be responsible for people’s reputations.”

It has also been reported that Simon will not make any public comment on the book by Tom Bowers, until he has read it entirely after it’s release today.

The source added: “It’s been a terrible week and now he just wants to try to move on from the book and concentrate on making Saturday’s BGT a great show so millions tune into watch.”

We can’t help but wonder if Simon is directing his anger at Sharon, partly because his hands have been tied over another of his TV shows.

It was claimed earlier this week that he was desperate to fire Take That’s Gary Barlow from The X Factor UK, because he felt he was too boring and dull. However, ITV bosses insisted that the dad of three return to the panel and an official announcement was made about his comeback this week.
