Simon Cowell is predictably keeping it in the family, when it comes to performance slots on the Britain’s Got Talent live shows this year.
The music mogul confirmed on Twitter last night that when the ITV series moves into it’s live stages on Sunday night, the first two musical acts to perform on the results show will be singer songwriter Labrinth and Tulisa Contostavlos.
Have just confirmed that @OfficialTulisa and @Labrinthda1st are performing their new singles on the @GotTalent live shows. Very happy
Labrinth is of course signed to Cowell’s own record label SYCO and it is thought that he will be showcasing his newest single “Express Yourself”, due for release on May 9th.
Meanwhile Tulisa – who is expected to announce her return to Cowell’s X Factor any day now – will be giving a live performance of her debut solo track ‘Young,’ which looks set to top the UK singles chart on Sunday.
The lives shows will continue throughout the following week and another famous face Simon would like to have gracing the stage is that of Cheryl Cole.
It had previously been reported that the Girls Aloud star would promote her new single ‘Call My Name’ on The Voice, due to her connection to show coach will.i.am. However, Cowell has admitted that he thinks a performance on the rival ITV show would be more beneficial to her and told The Mirror:
“I honestly couldn’t care less. Why would that bother me? I mean, given the choice, would I do The Voice, or Britain’s Got Talent?
“You know, I would go with the show with the bigger audience. But if she wants to go with the show with the smaller audience then that’s up to her.”
Which show do you think Cheryl should do? She has already admitted that she is a big fan of The Voice, but is currently building bridges with her old boss.
