Simon Cowell is reportedly filming his Britain’s Got Talent contestants backstage at auditions, to ensure that he gets the most explosive footage he can for the new show.

This year, the ITV series will go head to head with BBC’s The Voice and in order to keep it interesting and engaging, the TV boss has reportedly started to capture the behind-the-scenes footage or the hopefuls, before and after they try out for the panel.

A source told the Daily Star that Cowell believes viewers will enjoy getting to know the show’s stars more thoroughly. They explained:

“Out of all of Simon’s shows, Britain’s Got Talent has the most variety, from animals to circus acts and fire-eaters.

“He wants to give viewers a bigger insight into what happens backstage with them all.”

Sharyn Mills produces the series and insiders say that with her experience on E4′s Made In Chelsea, she is the perfect person for this fly on the wall aspect of the show.

The source added:

“With Sharyn’s track record in reality TV on E4, she’s perfect for the job. With such a wide range of people there’s always lots going on – fireworks and tanrums and maybe even romance.”

Add to this new footage, the supposed TV gold that is the bromance between Simon and new judge David Walliams and we’d say Britain’s Got Talent is shaping up to be pretty unmissable this year!
