Simon Cowell signs Britain’s Got Talent stars The Loveable Rogues to SYCO – hopes they become the next One Direction

The Loveable Rogues have a big future ahead of them it would seem.

Simon Cowell seemed pretty excited about the boys when they appeared on Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year and even though they didn’t win – the band failed to make it into the final three acts on the last show – he seems to believe in the group and has signed them to his record label.

We can understand his reasoning, after all One Direction didn’t win The X Factor and look how far they’ve come.

Eddie Brett, Sonny Jay and Te Eugene Qhairo made quite an impression on the judges, the audience and legions of female fans, when they took to the stage to perform self penned tracks, such as their song ‘Love Sick.’

This morning SYCO confirmed that the band were now on their books and would be releasing a single later this year. They tweeted:

‘@GotTalent finalists @LoveableRogues sign to Syco/Sony music and will release their debut single later this year.’

The group are elated with the news and Eddie told The Sun:

“We’re buzzing. This is everything we’ve been working towards. We are so happy.”

Sonny added: “Syco is a fresh label working with some great acts.”

A source told the newspaper today: “Syco have high hopes. They’re the full package. They’ve got the look, the sound and were writing quality music before they’d even hit the studio.

“With One Direction and The Wanted doing so well, there is more than enough appetite in the market for male groups making good pop music.”

Simon Cowell has already signed BGT runners up Charlotee and Jonathan to his record label and insiders say he is also considering working with male Welsh choir Only Boys Aloud.

Zipparah Tafari may also be about to cash in on his catchy song ‘Where Me Keys? Where Me Phone?’, as insiders report that Cowell has put plans in place to have the track released as a single later this year.
