Simon Cowell has revealed that he is unsurprised that Susan Boyle has improved her image after appearing on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.

“First of all, she is a woman, and I think anybody who was subject to those kind of comments is going to go, ‘You know what? Maybe I should do something about the way I look,’” he told Entertainment Tonight.

“She was probably swooped on by about a million colourists who want to make a name for themselves.”

Susan changed her grey locks to brown last week, had an eyebrow wax and aquired a funky leather look jacket.

“We were all guilty of judging her before she sang,” admits Simon. “You watch it back and it is embarrassing. We were completely wrong.”

However, he warned Susan not to focus too much on her appearance and to make herself ready for the semi final this month.

“I am tired now of hearing about the way she looks or the kissing or this or that,” he says. “Get yourself together, sweetheart, for the big one, which is the semi-finals (of Britain’s Got Talent),” he says.
