With Britain’s Got Talent being screened in HD for the first time, Simon Cowell is more anxious than ever to look his best. After losing 12lbs in the run up to the show, sources suggest that the music mogul plans to use his 36 year old makeup artist fiancé as his secret weapon this year.

Simon first met Mezhgan Hussainy when she acted as a makeup artist on American Idol and now he wants her to help him look younger on the ITV talent show.

A show insider told The Daily Star: “HD is a nightmare for TV presenters.

“Because the quality is so much better, it really shows up any flaws in their skin and can make them look older.

“HD can be unflattering, especially if the wrong type of make-up is used.

“At least Simon can ask Mezhgan for help.

“She’s even got her own line of cosmetic products, so I’m sure she’ll be more than happy for Simon to use those to look as young as he can.”

Mezhgan may also be drafted in to help Simon’s fellow aging judges Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan.
