Britain’s Got Talent boss Simon Cowell has admitted that he would have walked away from Susan Boyle, if she and her family had felt that she wasn’t able for the pressures of being famous.

Simon signed Susan to his record label after she became a worldwide hit following her Britain’s Got Talent audition, but he told the BBC:

“I said to them at the time, the truth is, if this is too much for her or if she doesn’t want to do it, we’ll rip the contract up. No-one is going to be forced into doing anything.”

“We were going to make a lot of money and we have, but I would have walked away from that, I would.”

Simon also accepted full responsibility for Susan’s breakdown in the lad up to th shows final. He said:

“I didn’t realise how much pressure she was under that week with all the scrutiny.”
