FROM: Chelmsford Essex

TALENT: Street Dancers

BACKGROUND:

They first met 10 years ago when they danced together in ballet, tap, modern and jazz at Goodmans Dance School but they became interested in hip hop and (which their dance school did not offer) and so decided to start their own group up as well. The girls danced together for fun for a few years before they decided to start competing locally and Nationally. In 2008 they entered The World Hip Hop Championships in Germany and were crowned 3rd in the World.

The group has no leader and they each have input to routines. They hire out local social halls to practise in and rehearse as often as they can but do admit it is difficult sometimes as they each have their own careers but as they are all so passionate they always make time for dancing.

They want to show to younger girls watching the show that hip hop is not just for boys and also that you don’t have to be a size 8 to be a dancer!

JUDGES COMMENTS:

Simon – YES. We’ve seen a bunch of brilliant guy dance groups – you could give them a run for their money – girl power

Amanda – YES. Thought you were great – don’t think we’ve had an all girl street dance group; your tidy dancers – your look doesn’t suit you

Piers – YES. I agree with Amanda, we’ve seen a lot of dancers this year – the biggest category but you girls are great.
