Susan Boyle has been able to fulfil a lifelong dream this week, as she recorded a duet with her idol Elaine Paige.

As part of the upcoming ITV show, I Dreamed A Dream: The Susan Boyle Story, Susan sings the Chess song ‘I Know Him So Well’ with Elaine. During her first audition for Britain’s Got Talent, Susan told Simon Cowell that she wanted to be as successful as Elaine.

An overwhelmed Susan told The Sun:

“I never thought I’d see myself standing on the same stage with such an icon from the West End theatre, let alone singing with her as an equal.

“I’ve really enjoyed myself and I’m really enjoying the show. I don’t want the dream to end. In fact I want it to become a reality.”
