Susan Boyle made an appearance on ITV chat show Loose Women this week and we have to admit, we have never seen her look more confident on stage.
In the past, there have been times when the Britain’s Got Talent star made us nervous as we watched her perform, because sometimes she seems so very uncomfortable to be in the spotlight and under observation, however as she sang her Christmas tune for the studio audience, the Scottish crooner seemed to be enjoying every minute.
Susan revealed this week that she has been diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, which has been an important revelation to the star.
Her mother was told that Boyle was ‘slow’ because she was deprived of oxygen at birth and Susan grew up with her family thinking she was mentally impaired. However, last year she visited an doctor who was able to confirm that she has been suffering from a form of autism, that is somewhat treatable and manageable with expert advice.
Susan returned to the spotlight this week and with her TV special due to air on ITV1 tonight and her Christmas single hitting the shops this month, she made a very public appearance on Loose Women yesterday.
Boyle is releasing a version of the festive tune O Come All Ye Faithful, which also features vocals from the late, great singer Elvis Presley and she looked very inch the star in her white blouse, sequinned jacket and smart trousers as she belted out the tune.
Public reaction to the performance was very positive and tweets about SuBo’s appearance included:
“#Loose Women good show with Jason Donovan and Susan Boyle. Great to see it for real!”
“Crying at Susan Boyle and Elvis Presley on loose women, this proves I’m emotionally unstable”
“I think Susan Boyle and Elvis singing O come all ye faithful is my favourite thing so far this Christmas. don’t even care.”
In the video below Susan starts out the song singing a little fast and out of time with the piano, but by the second verse she’s positively delighted and dancing along.
There’s Something About Susan will air tonight, ITV at 9PM and the documentary will show Susan as she prepared for her summer Scottish concerts and Texas concert this year.
