Susan Boyle has thanked her fans for their support over her ‘rollercoaster’ year.

After landing the year’s top selling album the Britain’s Got Talent star told The Mirror: “I am the happiest I’ve ever been.

“I thank everyone for their kind messages, presents and cards, it will be a quiet time for reflection.

“I have so many cards my lounge is full of them and I can barely get in the door, each and every one is so special and I’ve re-read them time and time again.

“Christmas is a joyous time and this year I’ll be with my family and close friends and attending midnight mass to remember the true meaning.”
