Susan Boyle’s neighbours have admitted that they are worried about her mental health and think that the stress of being famous is affecting her.

Neighbours who live next to the Britain’s Got Talent singer in Blackburn, say that she has started speaking in an American accent (when she talks to them at all), plays her own album at top volume and has had an ambulance at her house on two occasions.

Teresa Miller, 36, said that the singer had “definitely changed”.

She told The Mirror: “I said hello to her in the street the other day and she blanked me. Then on other days she’s perfectly charming. It must be the stress getting to her. But I’ll always be here for her if she needs me.”

Teresa added that she and her husband were being “driven mad” by Boyle’s music.

“I think her favourite song is ‘Wild Horses’ as that’s the one she plays the most. We’ve also seen two ambulances and a doctor come to her house. Susan had told me she had been feeling pains in her stomach.”
