World Cup 2010: Simon Cowell wants Fabio to play Dizzee & Corden’s ‘SHOUT’ to England team
Simon Cowell has reportedly urged England boss Fabio Capello to play the World Cup single ‘Shout’ to his team before they play their match on Friday.
The music mogul masterminded the duet between TV comedian James Corden and UK rapper Dizzee Rascal and the song was unveiled on his ITV TV show, Britain’s Got Talent.
After the song climbed to the top spot in the UK singles chart yesterday, Cowell told The Sun:
“England needs this record right now.
“They should have played it in the dressing-room at half-time against the US.” Simon added: “I’m going to try to get it played in the dressing-room before the next match.”
The hit, a reworking of the 1984 Tears for Fears hit, features Dizzee Rascal and comic James Corden. Dizzee raps: “Come on England, we need to sort it out. Leave the WAGs alone, set aside your ego. We’re tired of bragging about 40-odd years ago.”
