Castaway 2007: Jason Ross Isolated For One Week

Castaway 2007: Jason RossAfter their first week the castaways met host Danny Wallace for the first time and he asked them to go away and come back several days later when they could nominate who had contributed the least to island life.

After much heated debate and a few false starts the group agreed not to nominate anyone, however when crunch time arrived, most of the castaways did nominate, and most nominated Jason Ross.

As Danny Wallace sent the group back to camp, Jason’s fate was revealed. As the person who contributed least, Jason is to be sent to a beach, to live completely alone for a whole week. Danny suggests Jason might want to use this time for self-reflection and to decide whether he is going to change how he interacts with the other castaways.

I was shocked when Jason was nominated, over the first two shows he seemed to be one of the most active Castaways. He also seems quite level headed and well respected. The first shock of the series! Apparently the next will occur within the next few days! I can’t wait until Friday.

This is a travesty. Why would anyone vote for Jason? I would have given one of the new guys my vote as they don’t seem o do much at all….well except for bitching that is!

    Jason…NO!!!

He should have walked there and then. This is so unfair. How can he be expected to live alone for a whole week. That would drive em crazy, and he really didn’t deserve it either. Those people should feel really guilty!

The first day he was just losing it, the second he was internalising and moaning rather than cracking up. Bet by the end he’s quiet and independent, and coping just fine. The tricky bit will be dealing with all the guilt and gushing when he goes back.

What I want to know is, if he’s all alone who is doing all the camerawork? And where did he get the rest of his clothes from? Compared to the taransay experiment this one is more crystal maze than reality.

  4. Good point Anthony. I suppose there has to be a camera crew, but I assume they aren’t allowed to talk with him.It says here that he is at the end of his tether
