It is of course the final of Strictly Come Dancing tonight, and last week was the X Factor final, but which reality TV show has been your favourite this year?
There’ve been plenty to choose from, that’s for sure! Apart from Strictly and X Factor, we’ve had Big Brother and its spin off early in the year, Celebrity Hijack. There’s also been I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Dancing On Ice, I’d Do Anything – which was about the search for three young actors to play Oliver in London’s West End – Britain’s Got Talent, The Apprentice and Celeb Air.
For me, my favourites have to be – rather predictably – Big Brother, X Factor and I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, in that order. I can pretty much take or leave the rest but those three were compulsive viewing for me, so let’s take a quick look back at some of the best bits from those three shows…
The 20 year old politician won £50,000 after receiving 54% of the vote in the final of the show, beating circus performer Emilia Arata, 18.
I suppose John was hoping that taking part in the show would boost his political career and raise his profile, but given that next to no one watched the show, I don’t fancy his chances!
You gotta feel sorry for the UK’s ‘most talented’ young people, who are currently residing in the Celebrity Hijack house.
They all accepted a place on the Big Brother spinoff show, believing that it would kick start their career. Instead as viewing figures fall lower and lower, it looks like when they emerge into the real world, people still won’t know who they are!
A show insider told The Daily Mail: “They all went in there thinking they could use the series to showcase their talents and make a career for themselves.
“But the harsh reality is the show has failed to capture the nation’s imagination and they will leave complete nobodies, just as they were when they went in.”
The Daily Star are busy making a big deal today about the fact that former Big Brother star, Jade Goody has been slagging off the show and claiming that she would never join it’s cast again.
I don’t see what’s so surprising about this statement. Jade is claiming that the new BB series, Celebrity Hijack is crap and that she wouldn’t grace it with her presence. In reality, I seriously doubt if BB bosses would have her back. Not even an Endemol boss would be that publicity hungry!
Celebrity Hijack housemates, Emilia and Jeremy have developed a theory that politician John Loughton is a BB plant or an actor. They share their theories with Amy in the video below.
Celebrity Hijack bosses are hoping to spice things up this Friday noight, when they will be evicting two housemates instead of one.
Comedienne, Joan Rivers will preside over nominations tomorrow, but Victor Arata is already facing the chop after being nominated by Anthony Ogogo on Saturday.
An insider told The Daily Star: “BB wants to liven things up a bit and change the dynamic of the group. And what better way than to get rid of a few more of them.”
Here’s a great clip showing just what us girls talk about when we think the boys aren’t listening! Amy and Emelia are discussing Nathan.
Nathan has just today revealed that he fancies Amy, but she is panicking that her boyfriend won’t understand and is also worried about Latoya who has feelings for Nathan.
Is it just me, or is it getting hard to keep up with who fancies who in the Celebrity Hijack house this week?
Winner of Big Brother 2007, Brian Belo returned to the BB house last night, dressed in nothing but a towel.
As Chris Moyles took over the Celebrity Hijack hotseat, he called Brian to the diary room. The housemates looked bemused, and then shocked when Brian ran out wearing nothing but a towel, shouting “Big Brother always calls me to the Diary Room when I’m in the shower.”
Emilia and other housemates shouted for Brian to stay, and Brian had no problem with the idea.
“It looks the same, it smells the same,” Brian told Chris in the Diary Room. “I want to stay.”
“Brian, you have been evicted,” Chris exclaimed. “Get out!”
