I actually meant to do a bit of a review of last night’s I’d Do Anything show as soon as it finished , but unfortunately the wine got in the way, so please excuse my tardiness!
When the live show kicked off last week I thought that it would be hard to pick out the front runners as the girls were all so talented, however this week I thought that a few really stood out from the crowd.
The performance of the night had to go to Belfast girl, Rachel Tucker, who sang Christina Aguilera’s ‘Beautiful’. Anyone who has watched the X Factor has heard this song sang at least a million times, but Rachels version was so heartfelt that and real that it blew all the others out of the water. Some people over on our forum thought that her performance was a bit over the top, but I suppose that Rachel is used to acting in a theatre, not on TV, and if you were sitting in the cheap back seats in the Adelphi theatre in Lodon you would really appreciate all that acting! A 24 year old graduate of the Birmingham School of Acting, Amy recently toured in a production of Scooby Doo where she played Velma. Amy is very close to her parents, who she grew up with in Birmingham, and feels she owes them a great deal for being so supportive.
No stranger to hard work, Amy supports herself when she’s not acting by doing various jobs – including selling ice-creams and programmes for The Sound Of Music at the Palladium in London. Amy is a vegetarian and her worst job ever was as a junior at a hairdressers.

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway held its own, with 7.4m (32.8%) viewers.
Maybe things will pick up when the live shows start….
