The normally sweet natured TV presenter Gaby Roslin was so angry at being the first celebrity to be booted off the BBC’s ‘Just The Two Of Us’ duet show, that she threw an almighty tantrum and stormed off as soon as the show ended!

A BBC insider admitted to the Daily Express: “Gaby didn’t take the news too well.�

To be fair I wouldn’t want to lose a singing competition with Penny Smith either!

Chris Fountain, Hollyoaks heart throb has denied claims that he is seeing his singing partner Jo O’Meara.

“I was a big fan of S Club. I grew up with them, they were legends to me. But I didn’t fancy Jo or even Rachel Stevens,” he told the Daily Record.

“To be honest I fancied Hannah. I told Jo and she’s going to try and arrange a meeting. But Hannah is still going out with Paul Cattermole who was also in the band so I don’t know what is going to happen.

“Jo and I are both single. We’re not dating. It’s complete nonsense. We get on well and have a laugh and have been out one night for a bit of a drink.”

Penny Smith has admitted that nerves have been getting the better of her ever since the dress rehearsal for the new BBC show’ Just The Two Of Us’ on saturday.

Penny said: “After Saturday’s dress rehearsal I can’t stop giggling. I’ve gone into hysterical meltdown.

“After the rehearsal I laughed and laughed so much there was no moisture in my body because I was crying. I just couldn’t stop.

“I’ve discovered I don’t sing as well as everybody else, but then I’m the only person who hasn’t been taught how to sing. I’m the only total novice there.

“The only reason I agreed to do it was because I thought everyone else would be a novice, but they all either learned how to sing because they are actors or have sung in bands. I’ve only sung in the church choir and while giving out pints at a folk club.”

Despite her fears of making a fool of herself, the bookies yesterday made her and Curtis Stigers third favourite - with William Hill offering odds of 5/1.

This isn’t Pennys first time on arelaity Tv show though. In 2004 she appeared as Debbie Harry singing Denis in a celebrity special of Stars In Their Eyes.

She said: “I hated it so much and was so awful. I’ve never seen it. I loved dressing up. I was having really good fun until the moment it came to sing and then I wished I’d never done it.”

So why is she doing this? She said: “It’s duets so I felt a little more protected, but now I can’t even pretend to be someone else!”

But then she shrugged: “It’s not that I’m going to miss every single note. I can get the high notes. I just can’t do the wobbly bits. They are all show-offs and I’m not. I could karate chop my throat frantically throughout the whole song to make my voice wobble.”

“My agent said: ‘I’m coming along on Thursday to support you’. I said: ‘Come on the last night’. And he said: ‘What, do you think you’ll win?’

“I told him: ‘No my last night. . . Friday’.”

Ex S Club 7 singer Jo O’Meara and hollyoaks hunk Chris Fountain are more than singing partners on the new series of BBC1s ‘Just The Two Of Us’ rumours have it that they are conducting a secret romance in real life!

At a rehearsal on Saturday they were said to be “all over each other� despite the age gap of 8 years (Jo is 26 and Chris is just 18)

A show insider told TV Biz: “They have certainly been getting close. While filming in Liverpool they had a romantic night out. During the pilot show they held hands and looked very happy. It really is a case of Lust The Two Of Us.�

The source added: “There’s nothing to stop them being together — they are both single. Everyone on set thinks it’s very cute.�

Jo was hired for the show to give Chris singing lesssons, seems like he got more than he bargained for! I dare say the chemistry between them will earn them afew more votes anyway!

Just The Two Of Us is the BBCs new show which pairs professional singers with familiar celebrities for a series of duets.

Rick Astley has quit the BBCs new show ‘Just The Two Of Us’ just 10 days before it is due to begin.

Rick Astley,aged 40 devastated singing partner Sian Reeves by walking out so he can go to the Oscars with his wife, Lene.

A source said: “She is the producer-director of Cashback, which is up for best short film.”

Stepping into his shoes is opera singer Russell Watson, he and Sian now need to learn 10 songs before the show starts!
