The controversial TV medium Derek Acorah has said that Michael Jackson made “contact” with him because “he’s unhappy with his final resting place.”

During Sky1’s televised séance, Acorah said that Jackson is “at peace”, although he would have preferred to have been buried next to Marilyn Monroe.

It seems even in death, some stars just have a hissy fit when they don’t get what they want…

In a report in the Daily Mail, Acorah said that Jackson was “speaking through him” and was saying to him, “I wished to lie alongside her. I suppose it’s of no consequence.”

Acorah later said that Jackson added, “I’m only now starting to adjust to my spiritual life.”

The People newspaper reports that Susan Boyle’s representative has confirmed that the controversial singer is set to perform on a future episode of Dancing with the Stars.

Apparently, Subo will fly to Los Angeles in the early part of next week in order to prepare for her performance.

Susan’s brother John is quoted in the paper as saying, “She’s excited and happy.

“She loves America and loves the people. She appreciates their honesty.”

Susan has of course previously performed on America’s Got Talent, where her singing gained her a new army of fans ahead of the release of her album, I Dreamed A Dream, which is due to be on sale from November 23rd.

Corrie actor Craig Kelly last night became the latest celebrity to be booted off Strictly Come Dancing. And he wasn’t a happy bunny about it…

Speaking of his 17 point score last night, Craig told the PA, “That’s disgraceful, I can’t believe that.”

He added that he thought the judges had been far too harsh on his Cha Cha.

However, as he left the show, Craig said, “I feel amazing really. It’s great that I made it to Blackpool.”

Meanwhile, ex-Eastender Ricky Groves was saved by the judges vote and apparently all the judges are “backing him to stay”.

Ali Bastian sailed through with a perfect score of 40 for her Viennese waltz, and second on the leader board was another Hollyoaks actor, Ricky Whittle who scored 35 points for his Tango.

Last night’s show was broadcast from the famous Tower Ballroom where the dance floor is around twice the size of that which the dancers are used to, however, despite Bruce Forsyth commenting that the floor felt “like a trampoline”, it clearly suited some of the contestants.

And an appearance by Jill Halfpenny went down a storm and showed she’s lost none of her dancing panache since 2004 when she won the show.

The Daily Mirror reports that some of the X Factor contestants have complained that John and Edward are getting “preferential treatment.”

Among the complaints are that the twins are being given more rehearsal time and “the best slots” on the live shows.

And for last night’s Ghostbusters Theme that the controversial twins sang, apparently choreographer Brian Friedman spent more time with the boys than with the other acts.

However, X Factor insiders have strongly denied the rumours and say that all the acts are treated fairly.

On the subject of the twins’ huge fan base, mentor Louis Walsh told the paper, “Simon should throw in the towel now. They are the only act everyone is talking about.”

And he’s not wrong; it seems for as many people who dislike the act, there are as many who’re backing them to win.

Edward told the paper, “We are bathing in it [fan mail]. There’s mail from Norway, Sweden and Hong Kong, literally everywhere.”

I’m still on the fence about Jedward… I don’t dislike them as people but they can’t sing. And after all, it is a singing talent show and as one of our readers pointed out in a comment yesterday, the boys might have been better placed on Britain’s Got Talent.

However, time will tell of course. I do think it’d be a travesty if they won though! What say you?

The lucky bidder of an hour with The Cowell was Universal Music boss, Lucian Grainge but no news has yet been forthcoming about what he’ll be doing with Simon for his hour…

X Factor star Danyl Johnson has been telling Now magazine that he’s “trying to ignore” the outpouring of bad press that’s haunted him over the past couple of weeks.

Danyl told the magazine, “I don’t read the papers because good and bad stuff can go to your head or get you down.”

He went on to say, “You can’t get away from it because people will let you know about different things.

“But I just try to keep focused and keep my mind on the game in hand.”

When asked how he felt about Simon describing his very first audition as “the best I’ve ever seen”, Danyl said, “You think, ‘Great, now I’m going to be rubbish’.

“I totally suffered from that because it was like, ‘What else do I do?’

“But Simon’s on our side. I speak to him all the time.”

I hope Danyl’s managed to pick himself up for this week’s show; he was clearly very upset last week and didn’t do himself any favours.

A report in today’s Independent claims that Andrew Sachs – who was of course subject to a ‘prank call’ from Jonathon Ross and Russell Brand – has himself pulled a similar stunt.

Just as the fuss over Call-Gate was beginning to die down, the paper claims that in the ‘80s, Sachs was a guest on his son’s radio show for Swansea Sound when a prank call was made to a member of the public.

Apparently, Sachs pretended to be the woman’s “long lost uncle” from Australia and during the call, he told the unsuspecting lady that he’d left Australia after “some trouble with the police” and went on to joke that he’d buried some jewels under a tree in a park.

It seems that many listeners were so convinced the call was real, they hotfooted it in their dozens to the park in question and began “tearing it up.”

The police were called to the park to halt the digging up that was taking place. Sachs is quoted in the paper as having said at the time, “Nice joke, but then we had a call from the police.

“The whole town had gone down to the park and torn [it] up.”

Sachs revealed details of the prank in an interview that was broadcast on Gay Byrne’s Irish talk show, The Late Late Show. It also forms part of a “greatest hits” DVD from the show.

Strictly Come Dancing contestants arrived in Blackpool yesterday ahead of tonight’s show which will be broadcast from the town’s famous Tower Ballroom.

The dancers all quickly got into the “seaside spirit” and put on Kiss Me Quick hats as well as souvenir t-shirts and posed for pictures with buckets and spade…

The Tower Ballroom was the original home of Strictly’s forerunner, Come Dancing, and the show has previously been aired from the location in 2004.

And apparently, the contestants will also be dropping in on The Winter Gardens where a special BBC event is being held to encourage people to take part in a “mass dance.”

Singing sensation Hayley Westenra has told the PA that she thinks Simon Cowell would “slate” her if she turned up for an X Factor audition.

“I don’t know how I’d have fared on a reality show” Hayley said, adding, “I think Simon Cowell would have slated me.

“You have to be a certain type of singer and have a certain type of appeal.”

Hayley went on to say that although she wouldn’t want to have to be on the show – as a contestant – it has produced some “genuine talent”

“A lot people can run down these shows but they can bring up a lot of good talent.

“There’s a lot of great talent out there and it can be hard to find an opportunity to get noticed.”

Hayley spoke of her X Factor audition fears as she performed on the Children in Need charity album, Bandaged Together, with Any Dream Will Do winner Lee Mead and Sir Terry Wogan.

The proud dad of X Factor twins, John and Edward, has told the Daily Star that his boys won’t be cowed by “bullies”.

John Snr told the paper how the boys were taunted as children because of their extrovert characters and “wacky clothes”.

And responding to the news that there are ‘hate’ groups on Facebook – which contain such worrying comments from the site’s visitors, it may be closed down amid security concerns – John Snr said, “Some of the things said were vicious and as parents it knocks you for six..

“There’s been booing and that’s tough because they’re so young. The first week the boys were on the show they were shocked at all the hate campaigns on the internet.

“But they’ve grown in confidence now – they take it with a pinch of salt. They haven’t been reduced to tears and I’d be surprised if they were.

“They were born to do this but at the same time they know it’s entertainment and don’t take it too seriously. They’re determined to enjoy it.”

A source from John and Edward’s hometown on the outskirts of Dublin told the paper, “They were bullied almost every day because they didn’t fit in.

“When everyone else was in tracksuit bottoms and trainers, they were in matching suits and ties.

“They even turned up to play football wearing skintight jeans and shiny shoes. They’ve always had the big hair too.”

However, Harvey Kindblom, a John and Edward fan who was interviewed outside the X Factor house, told the paper, “I love the twins – they are really nice and they come out and talk to us.

“They can’t sing or dance very well but they are great entertainment. I know they’re not the best but I think they should win.”
