Baby Brother: Has Channel 4 Gone Too Far

So in case you didn’t know, Channel 4 is making a new Big Brother style show, but not as we know it. This time the house will not be filled with adults whose primary goal in life is to land a rich footballer, but with young children aged between 8 and 11.

The children will live alone for two weeks, and although their parents will be living close by, they will not be allowed to enter the children’s home unless something goes wrong.

Now we all know that Big Brother, Channel 4’s biggest cash cow, is on the brink of crashing and burning, but is that any excuse to make a show that may put young children’s mental health at risk, just to claw back some badly needed viewers. Read more & comment »

BBC Three returns to Young Mums’ Mansion

Following the success of this year’s critically acclaimed hit series Young Mums’ Mansion, the programme is returning to BBC Three next year but this time the mansion is open to single dads too.

In Young Mums’ And Dads’ Mansion five single mums and five single dads will live together with their children for four weeks to see if by supporting and helping each other they can turn their lives around.

The first series made a huge a difference to all aspects of the lives of the single mums who took part from getting them out to work and rebuilding their self-confidence to improving their relationships with their exes and encouraging them to start dating again. Read more & comment »

Jack Osbourne is back with his Adrenaline Junkie exploits from around the globe, but this time he has managed to enlist various celebrity companions to join him in convoy. ITV2 has commissioned Ginger Productions to make Jack Osbourne Celebrity Adrenaline Junkie, starring the self-confessed daredevil. Jack Osbourne Celebrity Adrenaline Junkie is brand new and exclusive to ITV2 this September on ITV2.

Virgin 1 To Air ‘I Want To Work For Diddy’

Virgin 1 has announced that it willl be the first UK TV channel to air P Diddy’s reality TV show, ‘I Want To Work For Diddy.’

The show is reminiscent of Jade Goody’s search for a personal assistant and will put a group of eight hopefuls through a series of tasks designed to show who would be of most use to Mr Diddy.

VMtv’s head of acquisitions Amy Barham said: “If you liked The Apprentice and want to see the ultimate in a high-maintenance boss, then you’ll love I Want to Work For Diddy. Read more & comment »

Gok is back with the first of two specials looking at some of his favourite transformations. He’s catching up with Lucy Govan, who 12 months BG (Before Gok) was a tomboy who lived in a horsy world where glamour was a four-letter word!

She felt fat and unfeminine and never ever got naked. With the help of some surprises Gok managed to get her naked on the catwalk runway. Chico To Appear On Celebair

We recently brought you the details of ITV2’s newest reality TV show, Celebair and today ITV have announced the 11 celebrities who will be taking part in the show.

In this new eight-part series, 11 celebrities will take on a range of jobs on the ground and in the air to battle it out ultimately to become CelebAir’s star employee and win thousands of pounds for the charity of their choice.

The show will be presenter by former children’s TV presenter, Angelica Bell and the team will consist of singer and presenter, Mica Paris; singer and Steps band member, Lisa Scott-Lee; star of The X-Factor, singer Chico; writer and presenter, Tamara Beckwith; presenter and comedienne Amy Lamé; star of Australian Idol and Neighbours, Dan O’Connor; singer and former member of Blazin’ Squad, Kenzie; ex-Hear’Say member and husband of Lisa Scott-Lee, Johnny Shentall; musician and one-time member of So Solid Crew, Lisa Maffia; model Michelle Marsh and comedian and actor, Phil Cornwell.

Clive Anderson hosts Maestro’s first studio challenge as the seven remaining famous amateurs with a passion for classical music do battle with their batons, conducting the BBC Concert Orchestra.

The students step up to the podium to conduct music for film and television in front of the panel of expert judges: Sir Roger Norrington (conductor of this year’s Last Night Of The Proms at London’s Royal Albert Hall), composer and cellist Zoë Martlew, conductor Simone Young and double bassist Dominic Seldi. Celebrity Come Dine With Me Hits America

Yet another UK TV show is making the transition to American TV, as TV network NBC teams with Granada America to make ‘Celebrity Come Dine With Me.’

Come Dine with Me kicked off on Channel 4 in 2005 and is now shown in 16 countries including Germany, Croatia and Hungary.

The US celebrity version will run for five episodes around Christmas time and the Celeb with the highest score will win $20,000 for the charioty of their choice. I bet that sometimes the stars wish they could just keep the prizes for themselves!
