Strictly Come Dancing 2008: Lily Allen To Sign Up?

This years Strictly Come Dancing winner, Alesha Dixon, has revealed that her pal Lily Allen, is keen to sign up for this years series of Strictly Come Dancing.

‘Lily told me that she wanted to do it. I don’t know whether she has been advised not to, but she would be fantastic,’ said the former Misteeq star.

Shane Lynch For Strictly Come Dancing 2008?

Boyzone star, Shane Lynch has revealed that he would love to take part in this years Strictly Come Dancing TV show.

Shane is a bit of a reality TV addict, having already starred in Love Island and Cirque De Celebrite but now wants to try his luck with a bit of dancing.

Shane told The Sun:

“Strictly would be great fun. If opportunities arise I won’t turn them down.”

Bruno Tonioli Wants To Swap Jobs With Simon Cowell

The wonderfully camp, Bruno Tonioli has revealed that he would love to swap job with Simon Cowell.

He has suggested that he judge on X Factor as a one off while Cowell moves to Strictly Come Dancing and in the process they could try to raise money for charity:

Bruno told The Sun: “We like a bit of a giggle - there is no competition between us. Simon has a lot of ideas for new TV shows and we were discussing swapping jobs - I’ll do X Factor and he’ll do Strictly.

He is to front the new cookery show on BBC One, So You Think You Can Cook, which will see normal people take on celebrities in a kitchen challenge.

Strictly Come Dancing judge, Len Goodman has revealed that he would love to bag a royal for this years show.

Goodman told The Sun: “We definitely want a Royal on the show.

“Princess Beatrice looks like she’d be a good dancer and then there’s Zara Phillips – she’s athletic.

“A politician would be great too. Some must be good dancers.”

Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess Daly has revealed that Prince Charles is a huge fan of the BBC One TV show.

Tess told The Mirror:

“A few people have told me they would be interested in being on Strictly - I think the most interesting person was Prince Charles,” Tess, 36, is quoted as saying.

“He said he wanted to tango. When he demonstrated, he raised one leg and he had rather good form. He would be a good ballroom dancer.

When Gemma Bissix signed up for Sports Relief does Strictly Come Dancing, you can bet she didn’t think she’d be hitting the headlines for hitting, kicking and stamping on her partner.

Strictly Come Dancing winner, Alesha Dixon has turned down the chance to host Galdiators which is soon to be revamped for Sky One.

A source told The Sun:

“We thought Alesha would be brilliant as a glamorous host for the show.

“But she turned us down, which is a real shame.”

Alesha has recently confirmed that she will be making her own show on BBC Three about what it means to be beautiful in Britain today.

Bruce Forsythe To Receive Knighthood

Strictly Come Dancing presenter Bruce Forsyth is to be given a knighthood in the Queen’s Birthday honours list.

However I imagine the offer is a bitter-sweet one for the TV veteran as it has came about not long after a massive internet campaign demanding that he be awarded this honour by the Queen.

So would he have gotten it alone, or does the Queen actually browse the web from time to time? What do you think?
