The Apprentice: Simon Smith You’re FIRED!

On the Apprentice ast night we saw Satellite TV engineer and former soldier Simon Smith get the boot from Sir Alan as the business moghul declared that he was out of his depth.

The teams in last night’s show had to set up their own photography stands in a busy shopping centre and Simon’s team seemed to be plagued by Claire Young and Alex Wortherspoon from the off. The pair tore Simon’s team apart, rather than backing their leader and though the three ended up in the boardroom with Sir Alan decided that being a grafter just wasn’t enough, so he sent Simon the squaddie home.

I was disappointed in Sir Alan once more last night as I actually thought that Simon was a breath of fresh air in the show. He was willing to work hard and put his neck on the line, with very little macho posturing in comparison to the other men. Read more & comment »

The Apprentice 2008: Is Alex Wortherspoon Scared?

Here’s a quick preview clip from tomorrow night’s Apprentice show. Watch as team leader Simon tries to appoint Alex as leader of his second team and Alex wrangles out of it quicker that you can say Alan Sugar!

So is Alex just plain lazy or is he scared of being in any position of responsibility in case he ends up in the board room once more?

The Apprentice: Watch The Candidates Meet David Beckham!

Ok, so maybe thats a small white lie! In this weeks Apprentice episode the teams will have to set up their own photo agency, and though they don’t actually meet Mr Beckham himself, they do get to shoot a pretty good lookalike.

It might sound very easy, but the candidates don’t just have to take the photos, they have to develop them too. Watch the tempers flare!

Watch The Apprentice Boys Make A Mess Of An Italian!

This clip proves that men are rubbish in the kitchen. In last nights Apprentice on BBC One the teams were both asked to set up a restaurant for the night. The boys went for Italian, the girls opted for Bollywood.

Now I wouldn’t say that the girls had great organisational skills. In fact they failed to serve up lunch because they were too busy cooking. The boys therefore lifted almost £200 more than them. So how did they lose? They lost because boys are rubbish at shopping and instead of getting their food wholesale, they shopped at their local Tescos and sent their expenses spiralling.

Not only that, but they failed to buy enough food when they got to Tesco, and ended up having to cut their customers portions in half. You can imagine how that went down.

Watch the clip, show it to your husbands and revel in the might of the multi tasking woman! Read more & comment »

The Apprentice: Friend Defends Jenny Celerier

Best friend of Apprentice contestant, Jenny Celerier has hit out at the BBC for editing footage to make her look bad.

Jenny was seen last week reducing fellow contestant Lucinda to tears and anti-bullying charity Kidscape spoke out about the scenes saying they encourage schoolyard bullying.

However Jenny’s housekeeper and best friend Bridget Armiger has claimed that jenny is nothing like the way she is coming across on the TV show.

“Last week they probably showed the worst bits of Jenny to make her look bad,” Bridget told the Daily Star Sunday. “It must have been edited that way. I have been Jen’s friend for seven years and I will be till my last living breath. Read more & comment »

The Apprentice 2008: Watch The Male Bonding!

How cute! Look at the love. Maybe it is this sort of bonding and goodwill that led the boys into victory on The Apprentice last night!

The Apprentice: That’ll Be 5 Grand Please…

This is exactly why the girls lost last night’s Apprentice challenge.

The team quoted a hotel manager £5000 to do one thousand pieces of laundry, while the boys offered to do it for £200. The boys actually had the brains to phone a local laundry service, find out their prices and then undercut them. It’s not exactly brain surgery is it?

Watch Sir Alan Sugar Fire THE WRONG Apprentice (Shazia)

Watch the clip above and tell me that Sir Alan Sugar fired the right person last night. You can’t? Didn’t think so!

I wonder if the old man is losing his touch, because it is clear to see that not only does red haired Jenny have selective amnesia but when she accused Shazia of being a liar and a manipulator she also showed that she herself was a liar of the highest order and one that would say or do anything to save her own skin.

Shazia’s only crime is that she did a bad job of defending herself in the board room, though in fairness she could hardly get a word in past Jenny’s hand which was constantly thrust in front of her face. Read more & comment »

The Apprentice: Shazia Wahab Gets Fired!

The Apprenitce: Shazia Wahab

I am a massive Alan Sugar fan, but I think he had a serious error in judgement this week when he let Shazia Wahab go.

Anyone who watched the show couldn’t fail to see how unfair, vicious and ruthless team leader was in her assessment of her groups failure in tonight’s laundry task. Jenny Celerier saw her ship sinking and tried to take Lucinda and Shazia down with her when all they were guilty of was working bloody hard and, perhaps stupidly, following her guidance.

In fact, so upset were people at Jenny’s behaviour that an anti bullying charity has Read more & comment »

The Apprentice: Ian Stringer The Love Rat!

Ian Stringer - The Apprentice

Apprentice hopeful, Ian Stringer, has been branded a love rat by his estranged wife.

Ian’s wife Kirsty has hit out at her husband who reportedly left her and his young children, just weeks after she gave birth just so he could succeed on the BBC TV show.

Kirsty told The Daily Mail:

“Ian should not be prancing about on The Apprentice. He should have been looking after his family.

“The BBC should never have let him take part… what about the effect it has all had on me and the children. And all for the sake of a TV show.”

“I couldn’t believe it when he was going on about being a winner, not a loser, on the show.

“Ian’s the biggest loser of all. He’s thrown away his marriage and given up on his family.

“His behaviour has been absolutely appalling. He cheated on me when I was pregnant. What kind of man does that? The stress has been awful. Read more & comment »

The Apprentice: Watch Jennifer And Lucinda Have A Barney!

In this weeks Apprentice on BBC One, Alan Sugar sends both teams out to set up a laundry business overnight.

As always tempers will fray and in the clip below watch as Jennifer meets the sharp end of Lucinda’s tongue!

The Apprentice: Michael Sophocles The Escort Boy!

The Apprentice: Michael

Michael Sophocles may have described himself in his show bio as a ‘good Jewish boy’ but he must have thought we would never find out about his stint as a male escort.

Michael Sophocles is a 24 year old Telesales Executive from North London. But while he attended university in Edinburgh he realised that he could earn up to £100 an hour as an escort. Beats a student loan I suppose.

A friend of Michaels told Heatworld: Read more & comment »

The Apprentice: Nicholas De Lacey Brown Gets Death Threats

The first person to be ‘fired’ from BBC reality TV show, The Apprentice, has received death threats he claims.

“People have sent me messages saying they want to kill or injure me,” Nicholas told the Daily Star Sunday. “One read something like: ‘If I see you, I’ll hurt you’.”

However in true cocky style Nicholas claims the threats will not deter him.

“The abuse I have had does not bother me,” he said. “I have had some supportive emails too. I take it all as a compliment. They think they can push me down with this abuse but all it does is pump me up. I realised soon after the show started that it was not for me - it was just such hard work. Read more & comment »

‘The Apprentice’ Criticised By Anti Bullying Charity

Alan Sugar

Anti-bullying charity Kidscape has spoken out against BBC reality TV show, The Apprentice.

Kidscape director Claude Knight claimed that scenes of wannabes being humiliated by their fellow contestants on the show can encourage school ground bullying.

“These shows are about public humiliation and The Apprentice takes it to an extreme,” Knight told the Daily Star Sunday.

“Young people will take the behaviour they see in the programme into their everyday lives and the catchphrases come into the language. Kids think: ‘It’s on TV so it must be OK’. It gives bullying a credibility.”

Kidscape was specifically speaking about two scenes that are due to air this Wednesday night. The episode will see Jenny Celerier and Lucinda Ledgerwood at loggerheads and at one point, Lucinda ends up visibly upset after being described as a “fungus” by Jenny, who then threatens to shove a dummy down her throat. The Apprentice: Helene Speight’s Boob Job

Helene Spreight

Helen Speight, a contestant from BBC TV show, The Apprentice recently had a boob job in order to boost her confidence, The Sun reports.

A colleague of Helene told the newspaper:

“Helene wasn’t shy to show pictures of her new assets.”

And last night a source on the BBC show said: “Helene’s not embarrassed in the slightest.

“She thinks if it makes you happy and feel more confident, good luck.”
