Sharon Osbourne still hasn’t signed her X Factor contract for this years series according to The Sun.
ITV have already signed Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue for the 2008 series, which kicks off in August, however Mrs Osbourne is said to be holding out for more money.
A show insider is quoted as saying: “We need Sharon - and she knows it. She will return, but she’s holding out for more cash.
Scottish schools minister Maureen Watt, has spoken out against The X Factor, and claims that it is interfering with the education of many students.
Watt wrote a piece for the Sunday Times about the X Factor auditions at Hampden Park in Glasgow, which took place the day before the Standard Grade English exam.
Ms Watt said: “TV bosses decided to fast-track the youngest applicants to the front of the queue so that they could get home to study.
X Factor judge, Simon Cowell, has revealed that he contemplated suicide when he was a teenager.
He told Parade: “I was always bored. I didn’t like the rules and I didn’t like discipline. So when someone said to me, ‘These are the best days of your life’, I actually thought about jumping off a bridge.
“I was like, ‘If it gets any worse than this I’m done’, because I hated school and I hated my life.”
X Factor judge, Dannii Minogue, has hit out at the behaviour of her fellow judges on last years series of the show.
“I was so happy just to be happy when I got that job,” Dannii told Celebs on Sunday magazine. “And then I found myself having to find a lot of strength to get through the day. I remember the first day I was like a scared mouse, especially when I realised Sharon had some personal mission against me. It grew as the show went on, and I still to this day have no idea why.
“I can only guess that it’s jealousy, because there’s nothing else I can pin it down to. There were a lot of days when I felt like I was being bullied.”
X Factor judge, Dannii Minogue, has revealed that she is planning to try to crack the American TV market thanks to Simon Cowell.
Danni claims that she never would have had the confidence to move to America before Simon Cowell gave her a judge role on Australia’s Got Talent and the X Factor.
Dannii, 36, told The Daily Star: “Simon does three shows a year – Britain’s Got Talent, American Idol and X Factor.
“I am doing Australia’s Got Talent and then X Factor in the summer and then I’d love to do a project in America.
“I didn’t have the confidence to look for work in America before doing X Factor. But that show achieves 13million viewers and there is no bigger in Britain.
Former X Factor winner, Leona Lewis is in talks with to launch a new vegan clothing range, according to a friend.
A pal told Hello that Lewis is serious about pursuing the idea, saying: “She’s always adored animals since she was a little girl and has been a vegetarian since the age of 12.
X Factor runners up, Same Difference, have been offered a £1 million record deal by Simon Cowell’s record company, Syco, according to The Sun.
The brother and sister duo had originally been offered a one single deal, which had been delayed, but reports now suggest that they will now release a full album which will include songs that have been written by previous X Factor winner, Leona Lewis.
