Amy Childs waltzed away from The Only Way Is Essex last year, keen to move on to bigger and better things.

The busty red head enjoyed a successful stint on Celebrity Big Brother in the summer of 2011 and even went on to land her own fly on the wall show on Channel Five. However, the ratings for it were poor and bosses did not commission a second series and so insiders are claiming that the former beautician is now considering a TOWIE return.

Many viewers have complained that the ITV2 show hasn’t been the same since key cast members Amy, Kirk Norcross and Mark Wright left so it has been reported that bosses would definitely consider allowing Childs to return.

“Amy would love to rejoin. She desperately misses TOWIE. She was always one of the big stars so it makes sense for her to go back,” a source told The Sun, adding:

“Her show was a complete flop on Channel Five and no one seemed to care so her profile was knocked.”

However, Amy took to Twitter this morning to deny the report and told her 927,000 followers:

The sun paper today has confirmed I am going back in TOWIE , this is not true [sic].

Also the sun reported I am desperate to go back on TOWIE this is a lie also, I have some really exciting projects coming up in the future.

She added:

Sorry guys had to be said, just upset that there wrote such lies, always wanna bring you down #imatoughcookie,
