Boy George loses £400,000 after Celebrity Big Brother 2010 ban
Boy George has admitted that a judge’s decision to ban him from taking part in Channel 4′s Celebrity Big Brother, has cost him £400,000 in earnings.
Judge Mr Justice Bean said that if George was let off the “non-custodial part” of his sentence, it would be unfair to his rent boy victim.
Boy George told The Sun:
“Celebrity Big Brother would have been a good earner as I was being offered £400,000 and my ability to work has been restricted for the past two years. But there’s much more to life than money. Other opportunities will arise.”
George insisted: “I’m not overly upset. I was always in two minds about whether it was the right move.” He added: “The decision seems slightly unfair because I’m pretty close to the end of my sentence and feel I’ve done everything and more to adhere to the rules.”
