Celebrity Big Brother 2009: Ulrika Jonsson
Ulrika Jonsson entered the Celebrity Big Brother house on the 2nd of January 2009.
Ulrika shot to fame as an early morning weather girl, though I first became really aware of her on BBC comedy Shooting Stars.
BB bosses are said to be hoping that Ulrika will tell all about her high profile relationships with stars like former England manager Sven Goran-Eriksson, TV presenter John Leslie and footballer Stan Collymore.
In March 2003, Ulrika was a contestant on the BBC’s ‘Comic Relief does Fame Academy and in May of the same year she released an autobiography called ‘Honest’ that was a frank an honest account of her life.
Since then she has been busy with her babies and this is the first time I have seen her on TV in ages!

Recently The Zimbabwe Guardian published an article entitled CHAIN OF HOPE, outlining the work this Charity does in Zimbabwe and some other African states where small children are born with heart defects.
Chain of Hope, headed by Sir Magdi Yacoub, is a medical charity consisting of heart teams of approximately 20 medical professionals who travel the world visiting Developing Countries where they focus on heart operations and saving lives.
Dedicated doctors, nurses, engineers and technicians have all been doing this vital work voluntarily (without payment!) to save the lives of our children.
Also, thanks to AIR ZIMBABWE, many children have survived because our own caring national airline has transferred them from hospital-to- hospital elsewhere in the world, to undergo necessary heart surgery.
Funding these heart operations is no mean feat, and working quietly in the background – to help their Fund Raising Committee members – are other selfless celebrities like Omar Sharif, Seal,Sienna Miller, Ruby Wax.
It is only because of this selfless teamwork across nations, that our children have any chance.
January 2009 ULRIKA Jonsson won CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER and for those who do not know, this devoted, glamourous mother of four, has done her own bit in raising funds for CHAIN OF HOPE.
We seldom know what celebrities get up to in the back-ground of their lives, and what effort they devote themselves to behind all the publicity, and many viewers lounge about scorning them and criticising them, wondering how the hell they won and why? It is therefore, well deserved and kudos to Ulrika – the woman that King Terry branded as egotistical – without knowing the full story. It really does hurt those of us who are aware of how hard she has worked in raising funds (away from the spotlight) for others less fortunate than herself!
May I, therefore, take this opportunity of congratulating ULRIKA on her win this evening. She deserves it!
For others who are still wondering how come she won, it was actually the Universal Source who decided, because you see, what goes around comes around! We dont have to be paid for EVERYTHING we do in this life, and this is proof that the more you put into this life the more you may get out of it. But, there are no guarantees!
