Davina McCall has admitted that she canceled plans to sleep overnight in the Big Brother house, after her husband asked her not to stay.

The 42-year-old host told The Press Association that producers of the reality TV show were considering allowing her to have a BB sleepover, however her husband Matthew Robertson did not want to ’share’ her with the nation.

She said: ”It was funny, because I said to the producers, ‘Can I go in, can I go in just for a night? Just to go and hang out,’ and then I ran home to Matthew and I went, ‘Oh my God I might be allowed to go in for a night,’ and Matthew went, ‘No, I don’t want you to go in for a night,’ and I was like, ‘Why not?’ thinking it was the most exciting thing ever, and he went, ‘But it’s the one bit I don’t have to share of you’.”

She added: “Because I’m always talking about him ad infinitum in interviews and I always say too much and poor Matthew has to put up with a lot from me. And he said, it’s the one bit I don’t have to share, you sleeping, so I’d rather you didn’t. So I’m not going to. He’s dreamy, what can I say.”
