Channel 5 bosses have reportedly persuaded Natasha Giggs to appear on the new series of Celebrity Big Brother.

The show returns to UK TV screens this year and for the first time will air on Five instead of Channel 4 and producers are desperate to sign some big named stars. Who bigger then than the woman at the heart of the year’s biggest tabloid controversy, the woman who slept with her famous brother in law, Ryan Giggs.

The Mirror reports that bosses have offered the former estate agent £50,000 to join the lineup of the reality TV show and hope that her presence will draw in millions of viewers, desperate to get to know the woman that brought down Giggs’ empire.

A source said: “Producers think Natasha will be brilliant – really popular with viewers. Everyone will be tuning in to see if she spills the beans on life with Ryan.

“She’s over the moon that she’s been asked on the show. This is a chance for her to prove that she’s not just someone who sleeps with footballers.

“She’s crossing her fingers that this will be a fresh start and she’ll get to show the real Natasha.”

Other celebrities reportedly lined up for the series include Mike Tyson, Bobby Brown, Amy Childs, X Factor’s Jedward, Vanessa White from The Saturdays, boxing champion Ricky Hatton, TV star Andi Peters and Carol Smillie.
