Celebrity Big Brother is almost upon us and the rumours of who’s in and who’s out are flowing freely.

Already this week we’ve reported that bosses plan to capitalise on the London 2012 Olympics by having a former medal winner in their lineup and this morning it has been claimed that they will also have a real life royal on the reality TV show.

While the identity of the aristocrat is being kept a closely guarded secret until launch night, The Daily Star claims that the ‘Playboy Prince’ is a multi millionaire, loves dogs and adventure.

The Prince is said to be a close friend of Kate Middleton’s sister Pippa and we can’t help wondering why, if he is so rich and already moves in such acclaimed circles, he would want to appear on the Channel 5 show.

However insiders have assured the newspaper that the royal will be amongst the famous housemates when the series kicks off on 15th August and raved:

“This is a major coup for us. We fully expect the likes of Kate and William to tune in.”

Other celebrities reported to be joining the lineup include MC Harvey, Coronation Street star Julie Goodyear, American reality TV star Dog The Bounty Hunter – aka Duane Chapman – British comedian Julian Clary, model Danica Thrall, and Vernon Kay’s sexting buddy Rhian Sugden.
