Celebrity Big Brother housemate Danica Thrall of course faced a barrage of abuse both inside and outside of the house for what has been termed her “rinsing” of men…

That of course came about after Danica took part in a documentary which followed her online ‘work’ that basically involves talking to fans on her website, and those fans then buy her gifts.

Her fellow housemate Jasmine Lennard branded Danica “a little prostitute” during a particularly bile filled rant, and some viewers of the show have made similar accusations, especially after it was revealed in a tabloid newspaper that Danica had filmed a “lesbian scene” for an adult TV channel.

However, in today’s Daily Star on Sunday, Danica has revealed why she decided to take part in that particular project. And in a nutshell, it was because she was “broke.”

Danica, whose mother died when she and her twin sister were just 14, said of the Elite channel work,“It was a really difficult time for me and I didn’t have any other options.

“I really needed money – I was desperate. When you need money instantly you do things you probably shouldn’t.

“So I can’t regret it because I didn’t have a choice.

“It was a difficult time. There was an element of confusion and, although I’ve not really had issues, some things had happened to me back then.”

And of her website and her interactions with fans on it, Danica said, “I’ve had quite a few fans ask to meet me.

“I have to tell them I’m only there to chat and they usually get the idea.

“Some try to overstep the mark and their offers can make me blush.

“I just have to explain I’m not there to do that kind of thing.”

After her CBB exit, Danica addressed the issue of the things Jasmine had said to, explaining, “Jasmine was undoubtedly a bully – she bullied pretty much everyone.

“I don’t take it personally, though. She’s got issues.

“I worried about her because you never knew what she was going to do next.”

But of course, Danica found an ally in motherly Coleen, and of her, Danica said, “Coleen really understood me and I could confide in her about stuff.

“That’s why we were good friends.

“Losing my mum made me stronger. It was a long time ago but it doesn’t get any easier.

“I had to grow up quickly when she died and it made me more mature.”

As I’ve said here on Unreality frequently, I personally see no harm or immorality in what Danica does; if these sad sacks want to spend their money on her, why should she turn it down?
