Celebrity Big Brother 2012: Gareth Thomas & Denise Welch suspect Karissa and Kristina Shannon of game playing

Gareth Thomas and Denise Welch have admitted that they are suspicious Playboy twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon.

The Celebrity Big Brother housemates were chatting about the stunning siblings last night, after both Romeo Dunn and Nicola McLean were evited, leaving them, the twins, Frankie Cocozza and Michael Madsen in until the final show tomorrow.

The girls yesterday confessed that they are desperate to win the series and Gareth confessed that if they have been playing games with their fellow stars all along, manipulating situations so that they stayed in the house at the expense of others, he will be very upset.

He told Denise:

If I leave this place and I find out that someone was playing a game with the people in here, this whole experience will have been a sham to me. An absolute sham, because I will look back and regret it.

I said in the diary room that I was upset when they said they wanted to win. Because if you want to win something, then you’re playing something, so are they playing 24 hours a day? That’s what I don’t get.

If they’re in it to win it, then they have to play a game.

Denise is also unsure of the twins, though the Loose Women star seems more thrown by their high confidence levels than by any sneaky behaviour or game playing that they may have indulged in. She told the rugby pro:

I’ve had so many ups and downs with the twins. One minute I want to cuddle them and they’re so sweet. In the UK, as far as I’m concerned, I have never met girls with such confidence who openly say ‘we are the hottest girls in the world.’

We’ve seen what good actors they are ….it’s just that I’ve not seen girls with such outward confidence.

Do you think Karissa and Kristina have been playing games with the housemates? Who do you think stands a chance of winning tomorrow? Leave your comments below.

What a disappointment especially Gareth’s arrogant, distanced, judgemental and really homophobic attitude towards Andrew was. Particularly in light of what he has been through himself because of his sexuality/identity struggle and what his post-coming out agenda claims to be. Not saying I was a big fan of Andrew’s, but the point is that Gareth of all people should be able to treat a presumed/percieved homosexual or flamboyant person with a slightly more thought, empathy or insight than the next person as to what interrelated insecurities lie behind Andrew’s at times uneasy (unlikable/compensating) behaviour. And appearantly Gareth’s still harping on about Andrew in the poetry task, trying to distance himself from Andrew’s persona as much as possible.

Also, it’s easier to be put on a piedestal if you distance yourself from the interactional pitfalls the way Gareth smartly does, and furthermore primarily interacts with the women who can’t think and judge straight from his overpowering physical and sexual habitus. Gareths knows this, and his obvious qualities aside he’s just as manipulative as the next person, projecting and displaying a calculated and learned image of himself, both physically and psychologically. Having hidden a big part of himself all his life whilst putting forward a masuline accepted persona, it should come as no surprise that he masters this game.
