Celebrity Big Brother 2012: Help bring Dog the Bounty Hunter to the UK by petitioning for his visa to be granted!
A couple of weeks ago, I was delighted to receive official confirmation from Dog the Bounty Hunter’s Twitter team that he is indeed scheduled to appear in this summer’s Celebrity Big Brother…
However, there’s been a massive hitch in that as of right now, Dog – whose real name is Duane Chapman – has been refused a visa to end the UK as he has a criminal record.
But of course, as fans of Dog will know, his criminal days are in the long ago past – they date back to the seventies – and he now commits his life to actively promoting a law abiding society…
So to ban him from entering the UK is a beaurocratic nonsense and, unless the decision is overturned, it’s a pedantic and jobsworth stance on the part of the Home Office…
However, we can help persuade the Border Agency to allow Dog into the country by digitally signing a petition that is to be forwarded to the Home Office. I’ll give you all the details you need in a moment, but first, here’s what a Bring Dog To Britain blog has to say of the situation…
Some readers may remember the previous campaign to bring Duane “Dog” Chapman to Britain. It started in mid-2010, when Dog and his family were looking to visit the UK to work with politicians and police forces to improve UK public safety, and to better-prepare our police for dangerous criminals.
Long story short, in 2010, the UK Border Agency denied Dog his visa, owing to his criminal record. A criminal record which dates back to the 1970′s: his pre-bounty hunting life as a motorcycle gang member. Since then, as you’ll no doubt know, Dog has become the most successful bounty hunter in the world; capturing over 7,000 criminals across the USA.
After a long campaign, with plenty of support from the British public, the UK Border Agency finally relented and in early 2011 granted Dog permission to come to the UK. I sincerely hoped that this meant the Chapman family were now able to visit the UK whenever they wanted. I was wrong.
Little over a year later, Dog finds himself back at square one. The UK Border Agency have yet again refused him entry. So, this little blog is back, hoping that as British fans, we can pull together to bring our favourite bounty hunter to Britain. Please keep checking back to this blog for important news updates, and follow our Twitter page @DogToBritain.
As mentioned there, you can sign an online petition to bring Dog to the UK by clicking here, and here’s what the petition’s statement reads…
Accept Duane Chapman’s Visa application to the UK
The UK Border Agency Visa Service
We, the UK fans of Duane Chapman, AKA Dog the Bounty Hunter, are petitioning the UK Border Agency Visa Service, to allow Duane to visit the UK.
Because of Duane’s past conviction, he has been rejected a visa.
Duane, and his family would like to visit the thousands of loyal British fans, that have helped to make Dog the success he is today.
This petition asks that the Border Agency reconsider their decision.
You can also keep track of what’s happening with the situation via a Facebook support page.
I’ll be so devastated if Dog isn’t allowed into the UK. Will you?
If so, please share this article with your friends on Twitter and Facebook and let’s do everything we can to bring Duane to Britain!

I think he should not have to go through the trouble if he already did once. People amaze me…
Those who denied him a visa are ignorant and have no clue what they are doing. This guy has captured more than 6000 criminals in the USA and a well known celebrity. Just see how many followers he has on twitter. How can this happen and those with authority let them get away with it. No wonder Britain is 20 years behind the USA.
this apauls me that this man and his family that do such wonderful things is being denied a visa to do a tour in the uk. what has this world come to when criminals can flee to other countries to avoid prosacuation but law abbiding citizens can’t travel freely ? so very sad. i say give them the visa need so they can continue the wonderful work they do.
Duane the dog Chapman should be allowed in to the UK… It’s crap that the border denied his application for a visa
It seems crazy to me that we are not allowed to deport a known terrorist who costs us thousands of pounds to keep in this country but a man who has proved that his past mistakes are way behind him is not allowed in just for a short visit.
The Dog always beleived in 2nd chances and is a prime example that 2nd chances can work,so for the uk border not to allow someone who would benifit the uk is a disgrace as the border agency jobworths let in terrorists, rapists and other people who arnt wanted in the uk.The Dog rules
the more people want dog to be part of big brother, the more the authorities will dig there heels in, simply on the principle of ” we’re in charge, not you ” mentality…..its the same with everything else in this country….our MPs don’t listen to us, the FA won’t ever pick the publics choice for England manager simply because we wanted it…the list of smaller scale examples just go on and on….it would be great for Duane to be on this because i for one would actually take an intrest in it…but i won’t hold my breath !
it would be a tragedy to deny the good people of the UK the pleasure to meet an learn from the best!!!!!
This wonderful, hard working, loving, family deserves to travel wherever they want to go. Being denied is simply ridiculous! They can, and will, make a huge difference wherever they go!
let dog and his familey come visit us in the uk please ……….
Let Dog in there is worse people in the country at least he is trying to fight against drugs
Its all bull crap that they refuse him a visa he is a wonderful man who has changed his ways he is only human and learned from his mistakes. He and his family have done so much good for so many people they have helped change people lives he in the u.s why not let him go to the uk and help other familys that needd some guidence he knows whats going on with others because he has been there let him go and help change lives let him do the work god has sent him to do I love you chapmans and belive in all you do i wish someone could of been there like dog to help my little brother before he messed up and went to prison so please give dog the visa dont punish him for doing good
i totaly agree let Duane and his family in. They would do so much for this contry and we may just feel a little safer with them here … and @sam .. leland is hot as hell
.. i named my little boy after him xxx
Hi guys I just loving watching your show? We need somebody like you here shelbyville Ind. WE have thief, drug dealer, you name it we got em
so rapists like mike tyson can come here but not dog?
get your priorities right people
Gilly it was unnecessary to mention Mike Tyson; it shows your personality in a bad light.
Dog and Beth Chapman deserve to be allowed entry into the UK on their on merit; their character now is definitely positive and helpful to all. If Dog was allowed in the UK before and nothing bad happen, what is the problem now?
Let Dog come here…i wana take him for a beer..
…Dog can see the good in people so why cant you?? GiveDogHisVisa#
never mind dog let leyland in hes fit
chelsia im allowed my opinion ……….. or do you think rapists are worthy people?
uk boreder agency are pathetic if dog was such a danger y is he walking round so freely up holding the law…dog rules
Totally agree with gilly and her opinion what happened to freedom of speech.
If poor dog wasn’t allowed in they could have replaced him with leyland instead of “the situation” who in essence in a no body.
