Celebrity Big Brother 2012: Housemates get fun 80’s party, but MC Harvey ruins it!

This post was written by guest blogger and reality TV showbiz observer Daniel Cohen. Catch up with him on Twitter here!

Over the last few days MC Harvey has changed. The kind peaceful man has changed into a strange, wild eyed shoutey erm … idiot?

Prince Lorenzo said it all when he found that Harvey suddenly appeared not ten, but twenty years younger then him – add another five to that I’d say.

Running around screaming for no reason, tipping over the sofa, stirring situations that don’t need stirring, he appears like a child with younger Ashley appearing much, much quieter.

It is quite a contrast with the calm, easy going man we saw at the start of the show. I really liked him the first few days, but the last few days I’m not sure anymore…

Adding a lot of alcohol to this is never a good idea, of course, but it happened last night and ruined an otherwise fun party.

For passing this weeks task the housemates were rewarded with an 80’s party.

The party started off well, when Harvey just did his Daffy Duck laugh and the housemates got stuck into the nibbles.

Julie was up and dancing, Martin was swaying in his seat. Coleen got on the dance floor too, dancing to Bananarama.

There were jokes when Julian and Coleen convinced everyone that the former is going out with Rolf Harris, and Julian got the gang stuck with old fashioned riddles.

Lorenzo’s thanked everyone “for making this a nice journey” and talked about Disney princesses with Julian. Julian in his turn joked with The Situation that his Google rating may well have dropped since he entered the House.

All in all, the Housemates got on famously tonight, talking about the ‘experience’, while Julian kindly served everyone cups of tea.

Then things got deeper, Julie told Julian that she is ready to go. A kind Julian told her “You’re going nowhere!”

Then HAM begun to stir and things began to get darker, and Julian was a bit worried, but before things could come to a head the first letters from home arrived.

Coleen read Lorenzo’s, Harvey read Ashley’s and Julian read Martin’s.

At twelve o’clock, most housemates were ready for bed, but HAM, watched by Coleen was only just beginning.

Ashley and Harvey were clambering over Coleen.

“I’ve been here for 20 days. I’m going to let my hair down ain’t I?” Harvey rationalised.

“Let your hair down and let it all hang out,” The Situation supportively added.

“There is such a big divide in the age thing and I’m in the middle,” Coleen mused, before adding “I’ll sit up all night with my boys and their friends, it keeps you young.”

So Coleen became a member of HAM and joined in with the strange, loud party – CHAM?

Harvey and Ashley were soon dancing for Coleen. She was lapping it up. Later CHAM were playing a strange game that involves them slapping their knees.

Ashley was soon over it and turned in, has taking the chips and dips to bed with him, The Situation soon joined him.

Harvey though, proceeded to get more wild on his own, and suddenly had his butt out. And he was making it talk in the bedroom in front of a shocked Julian. Julian was unamused, and so was Martin Kemp.

Harvey kept it out and proceeded to tell everyone in the bedroom they were being too serious. “I’m not in the mood for this” a very tired Julian whispered to Julie.

There was to be no peace yet, as Harvey then begun screaming a monologue for ten minutes, angering everyone in the bedroom.

A little later, Harvey was called to the Diary Room, but when he returned proceeded to snigger for a long time with the rest of HAM.

This morning an angry Martin told him he wasn’t isn’t impressed with Harvey’s behaviour last night. Julian told him that he was a very naughty boy last night.

Julian and Martin are both of the opinion that MC’s bum flashing has crossed the line of decent behaviour. Coleen, as guilty as the rest of CHAM, quietly fled Martin’s furore and dashed into the bedroom, flustered.
