As we reported yesterday, Jasmine Lennard’s mum Marilyn went into the Celebrity Big Brother house playing the role of ‘Shelley’, a celebrity psychic who had just been embroiled in a big scandal on the outside world.

Marilyn, who was receiving direction and instructions from Jasmine via an earpiece, had to convince the housemates of her story and character to pass the task, however, from the minute she walked in, the majority of our clued up celebs knew she was faking.

And sure enough, Marilyn and Jasmine failed to convince anyone – though Lorenzo said later he believed it was real for a while – so they failed the task.

Had they passed, they would have won immunity from this week’s nominations, which take place today, for their chosen celebs, Coleen and Samantha…

However, ‘Shelley’ tugged at Sam’s heartstrings by telling her that her dog was missing her terribly and was desperate to “communicate” with her. This upset Sam, and when the big reveal of exactly who Marilyn is was made, she was furious.

She said, “So Jasmine told her everything. F**king bitch!”

Oooo!

Martin and Julie didn’t buy into the whole thing from the very outset, but Harvey, bless him, was scared stiff of ‘Shelley’ and hid behind the sofa. Awww.

However, for sussing out that it was all a big con, the housemates won a party with food and booze.

We will of course see Marilyn’s time in the house in tonight’s highlights show on Channel 5.
