Celebrity Big Brother 2012: Julian Clary and The Situation get intimate while Julian gently looks after Julie Goodyear

When Big Brother’s Bit on the Side was close to finishing last night, I suddenly noticed something very interesting on the video screen and ended up standing in front of the TV screen to get a close glance of what was going on.

Julian Clary was sitting on the garden sofa close to The Situation who was tenderly stroking his hair and arm. It was such a touching and lovely scene. The pair are really forming a couple with Sitch fussing around him, bringing him crisps, poring him champagne, wondering if he wanted strawberries.

Yesterday evening, Julian and Sitch, together with Martin and Lorenzo collaborated on dinner and were working like a perfectly oiled engine. They wanted to be ready in time for evictions, but that didn’t stop Julie from interrupting them. Julian of course kindly agreed to do Julie’s makeup, but only if she’d do it in the kitchen. She was not happy about this arrangement…

During and after evictions, Julian was comforting Julie unwaveringly, getting upset on her behalf when the chanting started. After a tearful Julie resurfaced from a long talk in the diary room, Julian gave up his nice moment with The Situation and a yummy bowl of cheesecake to take care of his friend.

Helping her in her pj’s, teaching her how to remove her make up and most of all trying to distract her from what had upset her.

Not showing her gratitude to her loyal chum Julie commented that there was so much space now on the primping table, then said that despite the vast amount of space she wanted Julian to move his toilet bag to give her that exact spot. It had been his special spot since day 1, as he loved the lighting. Still Julian humoured her without a single display of annoyance.

Later, when asking if she wasn’t spoiling his night, after catching him looking out into the garden he sweetly said she wasn’t, joking “There’s only so much blokey talk I can take”. Then helped her to the bathroom. After that Julian returned to the Situation, situation for a while, before checking up on Julie again. Sweet.

It’s digusting how people have turned on Julie. She hasn’t done anything wrong. She’s played the game, in the same way as EVERYBODY else. There is not a single person in there who hasn’t. And she’s given emotional support to everyone who needed it. As Jasmine said she got her through. And she’s done this for almost all of them, including Colleen. Sam who is very perceptive, said that Colleen is the really manipulative housemate, who is forever playing the feel sorry for me card. And that’s her way of trying to win. Julie has provided the most entertainment, and shown people a lot of people kindness whether she likes them or not. Doesn’t kindness count for anything. Julie’s problem is that channel 5 need a villainess and they’ve decided she’ll do. Poor Julie. To have to hear those misplaced boos at her age, after a decades of being liked. She must be so confused and wondering what on earth she did wrong.

I agree. I’ve never been a ‘Bet Lynch’ fan but credit where etc. Maybe I misunderstood julie, but I thought she was having trouble re who to nominate so had to find some valid reason she could give to BB so she asked Mike/Ashley if they were being played by Daninca/Rhian. They confirmed they were, so that gave Julie her reason for nominating them, not because she was backstabbing them. Colleen has always played the ‘let me put myself down first’ card in every job she does. Her defence mechanism, but unfortunately she can’t compete with Julie so the only thing she can do to keep her position in the house is to go into the Diary Room, slag Julie of big time, bawl her eyes out big time so BB shows it to the viewers in the hope that the viewers will keep her in. She’s being 2 faced but the public have turned against Julie. Colleen keeps saying it’s only a game so why all the stupid tantrums when someone nominates her? I hope she doesn’t win cus that will increase the size of her ego even more. gggrrrrrr

The only reason we haven’t seen much of what people have done is because of Jasmine and then Danica taking the limelight. Now they are out we might see some of the others shine. I think Julie is being herself and being nice to people to their face then vile behind their backs is the norm for her. She may help people by saying what she thinks they want to hear but it’s still not nice speaking about people the way she does. She’s playing the age card and being waited on hand and foot, mostly by Julian. I think she’s playing a darn good game but I sincerely hope she doesn’t make the final. For me the final 4 should be Julian, Coleen, Martin and Lorenzo, in no particular order.

Julie’s reputation has always been pretty bad but I really thought people were wrong about her when she first went into the house and was so kind to everyone.
However … she is being very two-faced and the other housemates are wising up. It’s not nice to see an old
lady booed on national tv but she has brought it on herself. I want the final 5 to be Colleen,Ashley ,Martin,Prince Charming and (the winner) Mike.
I’m glad the pretty girls are gone – they were wreaking havoc with the mens hormones.
